And the environment...
This trek is characterised by a mountainous environment with vertiginous, mineral slopes and soils carpeted with flowers (carnations, scorsonera), as well as the discovery of Lake Ifni, one of the most beautiful in Morocco. Created by a gigantic landslide, Lake Ifni is nestled in a spectacular high mountain setting. From its steep banks, it overlooks emerald waters 50 metres deep, populated by rainbow trout. We'll come across villages perched between walnut, fig and apricot trees, and we may be lucky enough to spot the Levaillant's woodpecker, a small greenish bird with a red callote, common in this region.
