Sample programme - preparation
Pick-up on arrival at the airport. Four days of training, to be scheduled in advance of the event, will enable you to assimilate the basics of navigation and driving that are essential for a successful rally. During these four days, we alternate between theoretical and practical courses. Everything is reviewed. We start with driving techniques, and the Predator X-18s will hold no secrets for you. We then move on to navigation. How to use the GPS used in rally-raids, the UNIK II GPS, how to read and prepare a road book, how to read a map, how to use a compass, how to orientate your map, how to plot geographical coordinates on a map, how to follow a course, etc. Finally, we combine navigation and driving to give you the chance to experience real-life conditions.
